Fallen Fascist Regime’s Filth Must Be Cleansed to Rebuild the Nation:Afroza Abbas

Afroza Abbas, President of the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal (BNP’s women’s wing), has said that the people of Bangladesh must now cleanse the nation of the “filth and corruption” left behind by the fallen fascist Awami League regime. She said, “For the past 16 years, we have endured persecution and oppression. Many of us lost our homes, our livelihoods, and our businesses. We have struggled relentlessly to restore democracy, and many of our brothers have been martyred in this cause. Yet, we have not fully cleaned up the debris left by the toppled fascist regime. To move the country forward, we must clear away the remnants of dictatorship.”

Afroza Abbas made these remarks on Saturday (October 25) while participating in a cleanliness campaign held on Kalvert Road in Sabujbagh, Dhaka.

She further said, “The fascist Awami League government has destroyed Bangladesh’s economy, political structure, and social fabric. We want to rebuild a new Bangladesh from this wreckage. We don’t want revenge or retaliation—we want to win people’s hearts through love and unity. Our goal is to establish politics of inclusiveness and harmony.”

Regarding the upcoming national election, Afroza Abbas said, “The Chief Adviser has announced that the election will be held in February, and we firmly believe it will take place then. But conspiracies are being hatched to obstruct it. The people themselves will resist anyone trying to derail the election. The citizens of this country want their right to vote restored—something they’ve been denied for far too long. Any attempt to sabotage the election will fail.”

The event was presided over by Khilgaon Thana BNP Convener Masud Chowdhury and conducted by Member Secretary Mamunur Rashid Akand. Among others, Dhaka South City BNP Convener Rafiqul Alam Majnu and Central Committee Member Habibur Rashid Habib also addressed the gathering.
