BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed has announced that the party will create new positions for religious teachers in primary schools if it returns to power. He made the statement on Saturday (October 25) while speaking as the chief guest at a seminar organized by the National Values Protection Council at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital.Salahuddin Ahmed said, “If the BNP assumes responsibility for governing the country, positions for religious teachers will be created and appointed in primary schools. A nation that upholds religious and moral values can never be defeated.”He further stated, “In the past, some organizations have carried out social and cultural aggression in educational institutions. A nation devoid of ethics and morality cannot become a strong nation. If we remain united, it will be possible to prevent the reemergence and spread of fascism in Bangladesh.”
