Describing the ongoing movement of MPO-listed secondary school teachers as “highly logical,” BNP Vice Chairman and former Home and Commerce Minister Air Vice Marshal (Retd.) Altaf Hossain Chowdhury has assured that all legitimate demands of teachers will be addressed if the BNP returns to power in the upcoming national elections.He made the remarks on Friday morning while speaking as the chief guest at a views-exchange meeting with teachers at Subidkhali Government Pilot Secondary School in Mirzaganj upazila of Patuakhali.The event was presided over by Akter Uddin, Principal of Subidkhali Government College.In his speech, Altaf Hossain Chowdhury said, “The previous Awami fascist government has ruined the country’s education system. Our leader Tarique Rahman has clearly said that whatever demands the teachers have placed will be duly fulfilled once BNP forms the government.”

Special guests at the event included former BM College VP Zafar Imam Shikder, Professor Dr. Md. Delowar Hossain, Head of the Department of Soil Science at Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Upazila BNP Vice President Aminul Islam Khokon, Upazila Secondary Teachers’ Association President Md. Zakir Hossain, and Upazila Primary Teachers’ Association President K.M. Abdur Razzak, among others.
