The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has withdrawn the expulsion orders against seven of its leaders who were earlier removed from the party on charges of breaching party discipline and engaging in activities deemed contrary to the party’s ideology.The decision was announced in a press release signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Friday (October 24).According to the press release, those reinstated are: former member of the BNP National Executive Committee and former convenor of Bhaluka Upazila BNP under Mymensingh South District Fakhruddin Ahmed Bachchu; former senior joint convenor of Gazipur Metropolitan BNP Rakibul Uddin Sarkar Pappu; former joint convenor of Chattogram North District BNP Nurul Amin Chairman; former convenor of Mathbaria Upazila BNP under Pirojpur District Ruhul Amin Dulal; former president of Jaldhaka Upazila BNP in Nilphamari District Fahmid Faisal Chowdhury Comet; and former Rangpur District BNP members Mokarram Hossain Sujon and Md. Ali Sarkar.
The statement said the expulsion orders were revoked following a review of their appeals and in line with the party’s decision. Their primary memberships and all organizational positions have been fully restored, the press release added.
