BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi expressed optimism that Begum Khaleda Zia, a symbol of democracy, independence, and sovereignty, will once again return to the people through the prayers of millions. He made the remarks on Wednesday (3 December) at a prayer gathering organized by the Nationalist Farmers’ Party in front of the BNP central office in Nayapaltan, Dhaka, for her speedy recovery.

Rizvi said that Khaleda Zia has earned the love of the people due to her lifelong dedication to the welfare of the nation. He emphasized that prayers for her health and well-being are coming not only from BNP and its affiliated organizations but from the entire nation.

He also alleged that due to political vendetta, Sheikh Hasina and the Awami League had unjustly imprisoned the BNP Chairperson through false cases.

During the program, Rizvi additionally called on the interim government to withdraw the recent hike in soybean oil prices.
