BNP Health Affairs Secretary Dr. Rafiqul Islam said about the participation of nationalist doctors in the last 16 years, including the July Movement, that the pictures of the bodies of many victims of extrajudicial killings through crossfire, including Johnny, have appeared in the international media for the benefit of doctors.He said, the presence of doctors at every event of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party during the past 16 years of movement and struggle was notable. A large section of nationalist doctors stood by every persecuted BNP leader and activist in the past 16 years.He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion titled "July Doctors' Stories" organized by our July on the occasion of "Doctor's Resistance Day" at Bangladesh Medical Hall (PG Hospital) Milton Hall on Saturday afternoon.Dr. Rafiq, who was persecuted in the July Uprising, remembered the martyrs of the fascist movement of the past 16 years and said that after the fall of a terrible murderous fascist dictatorship at the cost of the blood of thousands of people, a new Bangladesh began through the July Uprising.The 16-year wait of every independent-minded person, regardless of party affiliation, ended with the fall of the murderous Hasina in the uprising of the students and the masses.At the same time, he prayed for the eternal peace of the souls of the two doctors, Dr. Sajeeb Sarkar and Dr. Kabirul Islam, who were martyred in the July Movement, and thanked the doctors for standing by the July fighters in the July Movement.Present as special guests were Shamsun Nahar Shelly, wife of martyr Dr. Md. Kabirul Islam, who was martyred in the July Uprising, and Halim Sarkar Bakul, father of martyr Dr. Sajeeb Sarkar.The organizer of the July Doctors' Rally, Professor Dr. Mohammad Nazrul Islam, presided over the event, and the keynote speaker was Dr. Sakhawat Hossain Sayant, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, BMU. The guest speaker was Dr. Md. Ashraful Islam, a physician of the July warriors.At that time, July Warriors Dr. Zahidul Kabir, Dr. Saqlain, Dr. Sayem Mansur Al Fayezi, Dr. Mahmudur Rahman Noman, Dr. Jahangir Hossain, Dr. Sami Al Hasan Emon and many others were present.At the end of the program, the invited guests presented mementos to two members of the family of the martyred doctor and to doctors and medical students for their outstanding contributions to the July Movement.
