Jamaat Ameer's PS Mohammad Nazrul Islam confirmed the matter to the media on Wednesday (July 30) evening. He said that he had undergone various tests since he suddenly fell on the stage while speaking at the party's national rally at Suhrawardy Udyan.As a follow-up, an angiogram was performed on Wednesday. The angiogram, performed under the supervision of cardiologist Dr. Mominuzzaman, revealed three major blockages in his heart. The doctors recommended bypass surgery instead of angioplasty.He also said that the party was considering sending him out of the country. But he rejected it. He said that he has full confidence in the country's medical treatment. Therefore, it has been decided to bypass him on an urgent basis in the country.Mr. Islam said that party-level discussions have begun. Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and his family have sought prayers from the countrymen.
