Prime Minister Tarique Rahman visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka on Friday (September 11) to see an army officer who was critically injured in a tank accident during a field firing exercise in Hathazari, Chattogram.
The Prime Minister went to the CMH at noon and enquired about the physical condition of the injured officer, who is currently undergoing treatment there.
He wished the officer a speedy and full recovery and instructed the authorities concerned to ensure the best possible medical treatment for him.
The Prime Minister also spoke with the injured officer and his family members, offering them encouragement and reassurance during the difficult time.
The accident occurred on Wednesday during a field firing exercise conducted by the Bangladesh Army in Hathazari, Chattogram. The incident took place while a tank was firing during the exercise.
Two members of the Bangladesh Army were killed at the scene, while an army officer sustained critical injuries.
The injured officer was later transferred to the CMH in Dhaka for advanced medical treatment.
