The Bangladesh national football team stranded in Nepal amid the anti-government protests in the country returned home on Thursday afternoon, September 11.A special aircraft of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying them landed at the Bangladesh Air Force Base at Kurmitola in Dhaka around 4:45pm.The national football team had gone to Nepal to play two friendly matches. They played the first game on September 6 but the second match scheduled for September 9 was cancelled due to political unrest in the neighbouring country. Amid the deadly protests, the Bangladesh national footballers were stranded for three days.
