Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, Joint Secretary General of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has emphasized that the party’s main focus is on the upcoming elections. Speaking at the biennial conference of BNP’s Ramganj Upazila and Municipality units in Lakshmipur on Saturday (September 20), he said the party aims to raise the “Sheaf of Paddy” symbol high under the leadership of Tarique Rahman and strengthen the leadership of Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

Annie added that a strong leadership will emerge from the conference, enabling the party to reach households effectively. He highlighted the importance of teamwork, especially to engage the younger generation and women, and stressed keeping the party united under the guidance of councillors, delegates, and ward-level leaders.

The event saw participation from BNP leaders across the district, including former MPs, advisers, and senior organizational officials, reflecting a show of unity and cohesion within the party.
