Suicide Bombing in Pakistan;  India Accused of Involvement

A deadly suicide bombing in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, has left at least a dozen people dead. Following the attack, Pakistan has accused India of being involved.According to a report by the BBC on Tuesday (November 11), the suicide blast took place outside a district and sessions court in Islamabad. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack, alleging that extremist groups backed by India were behind the incident.In a statement, Prime Minister Sharif said, “The terrorist attacks on unarmed Pakistani citizens through India’s proxy networks are deplorable and heinous acts.”

Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi confirmed that at least 12 people were killed and another 27 injured in the blast outside the court premises.

Meanwhile, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif hinted at a possible Afghan connection, saying, “The rulers in Kabul can stop terrorism in Pakistan if they choose to. However, Pakistan is fully capable of responding to such attacks in Islamabad.”

In another official statement, Prime Minister Sharif urged India to refrain from “spreading terrorism in the region through its proxy groups.”

India has not yet commented on Pakistan’s allegations. Prime Minister Sharif added that an investigation has been ordered into the incident and that those responsible will be brought to justice.
