
Six more deaths were reported from dengue in the last 24 hours (from Wednesday 8:00am to Thursday 8:00am), taking the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 145 this year. Of the new deaths, three were reported in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), one in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), one in Mymensingh division (outside of the city), and another in Rajshahi division (outside of the city).During the period, 586 more patients were hospitalised with viral fever, raising the total cases to 36,682 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a statement today (September 11).
Of the new cases, 109 were reported in Barishal division (outside the city corporation), 58 in Chattogram division (outside the city corporation), 104 in Dhaka division (outside the city corporation), 144 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 103 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 12 in Mymensingh division (outside the city corporation), 44 in Rajshahi division (outside the city corporation), 10 in Rangpur division (outside the city corporation), and two in Sylhet division.
