Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is set to change its party logo, with an official unveiling expected within the next few days.According to party sources, while the symbol of the scales of justice (দাঁড়িপাল্লা) will be retained, the new design may incorporate elements inspired by the national flag.On Sunday (September 28) around 9 a.m., Spanish Ambassador to Bangladesh Gabriel Sistiaga Ochoa de Chinchetru paid a courtesy call on Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman at the party chief’s office in Bashundhara, Dhaka. During the meeting, a redesigned logo resembling the national flag was spotted, sparking widespread discussion regarding Jamaat’s new emblem.

Commenting on the matter, Jamaat’s Central Executive Council member and Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim confirmed the ongoing redesign process.
“Our logo is being changed under the directive of the Ameer. Several designs have been prepared, but the final version has not yet been decided. The logo that appeared in today’s photograph was shown mistakenly. The official version will be finalized within the next few days,” he said.

He further explained that the issue has already been discussed in the party’s executive council:
“Once finalized, the new logo will be used as our official emblem.”

When asked why the change was necessary, Abdul Halim added:
“Our previous logo was never officially used by the party. It was mostly adopted by the media.”
