Engineer Ishraque Hossain, former BNP-nominated mayoral candidate for Dhaka South City Corporation and a member of the BNP Chairperson’s Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee, has officially gotten engaged in a family ceremony.The engagement took place on Friday (October 10) evening in a small family gathering, where Ishraque exchanged rings with Barrister Nusrat Khan. Nusrat Khan is the eldest daughter of former lawmaker and minister of the late President Ziaur Rahman’s cabinet, Advocate Nur Mohammad Khan of Tangail.Ishraque Hossain is the eldest son of the late Sadeque Hossain Khoka, former mayor of the undivided Dhaka City Corporation.

BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the news to the media, saying that the engagement was arranged suddenly as a family decision. Both families have sought blessings and prayers from all for the newly engaged couple.
