On the occasion of Sharadiya Durga Puja 1432, National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam visited the puja mandap at the Dhakeshwari National Temple in Dhaka. On Sunday (September 28) evening, he exchanged greetings with members of the Hindu community during his visit. Later, speaking at a brief press conference, Nahid Islam said that the NCP will ensure participation of candidates from all communities in the upcoming national elections.

He stated, “It is the responsibility of the government to ensure that the Hindu community can celebrate Durga Puja without any hindrance. NCP leaders and activists are already working as volunteers at every puja mandap.”

Nahid Islam also urged the government to address the demands of the Hindu community. “I call upon the interim government to support the fulfillment of their demands and ensure their rightful dignity. The government must guarantee that members of the Hindu community never feel insecure,” he added.
