A total of 22 families—of those martyred and injured during the mass uprising, victims of enforced disappearance and extrajudicial killings in past movements, and those suffering from cancer or other illnesses—have received medical assistance from Amra BNP Paribar (We Are BNP Family).

The initiative was taken under the direction of BNP’s Acting Chairman and chief patron of Amra BNP Paribar, Tarique Rahman. The humanitarian program was held on Tuesday (September 23) at the BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan, Dhaka.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General and chief advisor of Amra BNP Paribar, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, attended the event as chief guest. The program was presided over by Amra BNP Paribar convener Atikur Rahman Rumman.

Advisors Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bokul and Engineer Mostafa-e-Jaman Selim, member secretary Agriculturist Mokshedul Momin Mithun, National Press Club executive member Zahidul Islam Rony, and members Masud Rana Liton, Mustakim Billah, Forhad Ali Sajib, Shakil Ahmed, Rubel Amin, and Shahadat Hossain were also present.

Among others, the event was attended by Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal Vice-President Dr. Zahidul Kabir Zahid, eminent architect Engineer Abul Hasnain Manjur Murshed Imon, former Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal Vice-President Jamil Hossain, JCD Central Committee Joint Secretary General Hasnain Nahian Sajib, Gulshan Thana BNP Member Secretary Shahjahan Kabir, student leader Moshiur Rahman Mohan, and former BUET JCD General Secretary Engineer Abu Hanif.
