In the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) elections, members of the Islami Chhatra Shibir-backed “United Students’ Alliance” secured victory in 23 out of 28 posts. The alliance won all three top executive positions—Vice President (VP), General Secretary (GS), and Assistant General Secretary (AGS)—along with 12 secretary posts. Out of 13 member positions, they claimed 11.Hema Chakma, from the left-leaning coalition Protirodh Parishad, won one member post, while four independent candidates won across different categories.The final results were announced on Wednesday (10 September) morning at the university’s Senate Building by Chief Returning Officer Md Jasim Uddin.
