BNP Standing Committee member Dr. A.Z.M. Zahid Hossain has announced that BNP’s acting chairman, Tarique Rahman, will be returning to Bangladesh in the coming weeks. He stated that Rahman will lead the party from within the country well ahead of the national elections.Dr. Zahid Hossain shared this information on Saturday (6 September) at the National Conference of the Employees’ Association of Pubali Bank in Motijheel, Dhaka.He further remarked, “Those conspiring against the elections will not succeed. The elections will be held in February as scheduled.”Commenting on the ruling Awami League, he added that the party is again looking for opportunities to undermine the people’s rights through backdoor means. He urged everyone to remain vigilant and prevent ongoing conspiracies from succeeding.
