Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has strongly condemned and protested against a news report titled 'Murder on the orders of Jamaat leader' published on the website of Indian media NDTV on August 13, calling it baseless, false and fabricated.The party's Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Central Propaganda and Media Department, Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, made the protest in a statement sent to the media on Saturday (August 16).In the statement, he said, "The report published in the Indian media outlet NDTV is completely false, fabricated, and purposely fabricated."The scene presented there of a government official being killed and his body being dragged up the stairs on the orders of Jamaat leaders is completely at odds with reality.The statement said, "No such incident has occurred in Bangladesh."It has been confirmed through investigation and according to fact-checking organizations, the video is actually part of an incident at the Government Medical College in Bettiah town, West Champaran district, Bihar, India, where a man's body was seen being dragged down the stairs on August 11.
