A total of 220 underprivileged and destitute women in Kabirhat, Noakhali, have received financial assistance under a special allocation from the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund.The distribution ceremony was held on Friday afternoon at the auditorium of Kabirhat Government Model High School. The financial grants were handed over to the beneficiaries under the supervision of Member of Parliament for Noakhali-5, Md. Fakhrul Islam. Under the special allocation, financial assistance was provided to 220 women, including 140 beneficiaries from the seven unions of Kabirhat Upazila, 40 from Kabirhat Municipality, and another 40 from Ashwadia and Neowazpur unions of Noakhali Sadar Upazila.
Speaking as the chief guest, MP Md. Fakhrul Islam said that supporting underprivileged and disadvantaged people remains one of the government's top priorities. He assured that such humanitarian assistance programs would continue in the future to improve the lives of vulnerable communities.
Among those present at the event were former convener of Kabirhat Upazila BNP Abdur Rahim, Kamrul Huda Chowdhury Liton, convener of Kabirhat Municipality BNP Mostafiz Manju, former member of Noakhali District BNP Golam Momit Faisal, former member secretary of Kabirhat Upazila BNP Sourav Hossain Kamal, along with leaders and activists of the BNP and its associate organizations, as well as the beneficiaries.
