Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, “We have been struggling over a long period to build a new Bangladesh free of discrimination, corruption, misrule and crime. Establishing peace and justice in society is the prime objective of our movement. We are committed to building a society where every citizen, irrespective of religion, race or community, can enjoy their constitutional rights.”
He further added, “We want to establish a society where all basic human rights are ensured and there is no division on the basis of religion. Above all, our goal is to expand quality education across the nation. Only proper education can turn human beings into true human beings, and there is no alternative to educating the nation to face the challenges of this century.”
Calling for collective efforts to build an educated nation, he said, “The July uprising has created immense possibilities for us, but the uncertainty has not yet been completely removed. Therefore, we must proceed with utmost caution.”
Highlighting the importance of values in politics, the Jamaat Ameer said, “Those who seek power in the future must carry out their responsibilities with accountability to their conscience and with a sense of answerability to Allah. One may deceive people, but it is impossible to deceive Allah. We want to build a new Bangladesh where men and women of all religions, races, and communities will live free from fear and insecurity.”
He also observed, “In the past, those who held power failed to provide the people with a fearless and secure environment. Therefore, keeping the future in mind, we must make wise decisions for the Bangladesh of tomorrow. If people stand for the truth and deliver their verdict, it will be possible to free the country from hunger and poverty and bring about positive change within five years.”
