Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will inaugurate the BNP's central rally in the capital on Saturday, November 7, marking National Revolution and Solidarity Day.

BNP Acting Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the programme while speaking to reporters at the party's central office in Nayapaltan on Friday.

He said rallies would be organised in most districts and metropolitan cities across the country to mark the occasion.

“In Dhaka, the rally will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman in front of the party's central office in Nayapaltan,” Rizvi said.

The procession will begin following the Prime Minister's inaugural address. It will start from Nayapaltan and pass through Kakrail, the Chief Justice's residence, the Hotel InterContinental intersection, Bangla Motor and Farmgate before concluding at Manik Mia Avenue, he added.

Earlier in the morning, at around 8:30am, the Prime Minister and senior BNP leaders will pay tribute by placing wreaths at the graves of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.

Rizvi said various BNP-affiliated organisations would also organise a series of programmes, including discussion meetings and photo exhibitions, alongside the central rally.

He added that the BNP's Dhaka north and south city units, along with its associate organisations, were working to ensure the rally's success.

A stage is being constructed in front of the party's central office in Nayapaltan for the Prime Minister's inaugural address.

The BNP has already announced a weeklong programme to observe National Revolution and Solidarity Day.
