President Md. Sahabuddin arrived in his home district, Pabna, on Saturday morning (November 8) for a two-day official visit — his first visit to the district in 16 months since August 5 last year.The President’s helicopter landed at the Pabna District Stadium helipad at around 9:40 a.m., where he was received by Pabna Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mofizul Islam and Superintendent of Police Mortoza Ali Khan.Earlier, he departed for Pabna from Tejgaon Helipad in Dhaka at 9 a.m.

According to a press release signed by the President’s Protocol Officer, Abul Kalam Md. Lutfor Rahman, the President was scheduled to arrive in Pabna on Saturday morning by helicopter. Upon arrival, he was to receive a Guard of Honor at the Pabna Circuit House, followed by a visit to the Arifpur graveyard to pay respects at the graves of his parents. Later, he would spend time at his residence with family members and relatives before spending the night at the Circuit House.

On the final day of the visit, Sunday morning, President Sahabuddin is scheduled to receive another Guard of Honor at the Circuit House before returning to Dhaka by helicopter.

This marks President Sahabuddin’s fifth visit to his home district since taking office as the 22nd President of Bangladesh on April 24, 2023. He previously visited Pabna on May 15, 2023; September 27, 2023; January 16, 2024; and June 9, 2024.
