Rizvi Demands Punishment for Those Involved in Rangpur Killings

BNP Acting Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed has strongly condemned the recent killing of four members of the same family in Rangpur and demanded that the secret hideouts of the syndicates allegedly involved in the incident be identified and swiftly dismantled. He made the demand on Wednesday (August 26) at a milad and doa mahfil organized at the ground floor of the BNP central office in Nayapaltan, Dhaka, marking Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).

Calling for strict action against the perpetrators and criminal syndicates, Rizvi said, “The syndicates involved in the Rangpur incident must be identified, their secret hideouts located, and those networks swiftly dismantled.”

“We believe that, under the leadership of the Home Minister, law and order will be strengthened and criminals will be brought to justice,” he said.

Rizvi also called for tougher measures to curb the spread of drugs across the country. He said drug users and dealers must not be allowed to escape accountability, adding that people currently expect the Home Minister to ensure that such activities are brought under control.

Top BNP leaders, as well as leaders and activists of its affiliated and associate organizations, attended the milad and doa mahfil organized on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).

Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed was also present at the event.
