Real Madrid CF have been crowned European champions at youth level after defeating Club Brugge KV in the UEFA Youth League final.Madrid secured a 4–2 victory in the penalty shootout following a 1–1 draw in regular time at the Stade de la Tuilière. Goalkeeper Javier Navarro emerged as the hero, saving spot-kicks from Naim Amengai and Tian Koren to seal the club’s second title in the competition.

The Spanish side opened the scoring in the 23rd minute through Jacobo Ortega, who produced a clever backheel finish inside the box. Brugge responded in the 64th minute when Tobias Lund Jensen found the net after a strong run and assist from Tian Koren.

With no extra time in the final, the match went directly to penalties. Defender Diego Aguado converted the decisive kick, confirming Madrid’s triumph.

The victory marks Real Madrid CF’s second Youth League title in the tournament’s 12-year history. Meanwhile, FC Barcelona remain the most successful club in the competition with three titles.

Club president Florentino Pérez attended the final alongside Aleksander Čeferin, highlighting the importance of the achievement for Madrid’s youth development system.
