Mahbub( running commerce secretary) was a bossom friend of mine. 5 days ago me & mahbub make a small adda in his residence at sochib qurater while he was feverish n thought that it is viral fever.i advised him to do test for malaria, typhoid, dengue etc. Few days back he visited kenia,a african country where malaria is rampant as in our hilly areas bandorban, rangamati, khagrachori. There is two new medical subject unknown to majority people ; even doctors community knows little about it "Travel Medicine & Biogenetics," When someone travel a new area then he or she should take consultation regarding the disease profile of that area, should take preventive measures such as vaccinations (Measles,mumps, tetanus,yellow fever,heapatitisA, Typhoid) malaria prophylaxis, jet lag, decompresson sickness in high altitude in hilly area or on air, jet lag or sleep. May our concerned authority will take measures regarding this. Last two days i was with mahbub in square hospital icu but he was in grade 4 coma with cerebral malaria & departed us permanently. May god bless him in heaven. I urge all concerned to pay heed to my words for travelling abrod or hilly area or forested area.simply two tab chloroquine preventively could save a precious life of mahbub.
