BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and his daughter Zaima Rahman have been officially included in the voter list. The information was confirmed by BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan.According to party sources, Tarique Rahman’s name has been added to the voter list through the Election Commission’s official registration process. The Election Commission’s Public Relations Department also confirmed the matter on Sunday (December 28).

Earlier, on December 27, Tarique Rahman visited the Election Commission office in Agargaon, Dhaka, where he completed the necessary formalities for voter registration and obtaining a National Identity Card (NID). BNP had previously informed that he would be registered as a voter on that day, and accordingly, the Election Commission had made all necessary preparations.

In a post shared by the BNP Media Cell on Saturday afternoon, it was stated that after providing fingerprint data, iris scans, and other biometric information, Tarique Rahman’s NID would be issued within a maximum of 24 hours. This information was confirmed by S.M. Humayun Kabir, Director General of the National Identity Registration Wing.

Meanwhile, Zaima Rahman has also been included in the voter list through the same process.

The inclusion of Tarique Rahman in the voter list is being seen as a significant political development, particularly in the context of the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election. Political observers believe that his formal registration as a voter further strengthens his active role in the country’s electoral and political process.
