Another Earthquake Strikes with Epicenter in Narsingdi

An earthquake was felt again in Dhaka on Thursday (26 November) at 4:16 p.m. The tremor measured 3.6 on the Richter scale.According to Rubaiyyat Kabir, an official at the Earthquake Monitoring Centre of the Meteorological Department, the epicenter of this latest quake was Ghorashal in Narsingdi.Earlier, on Friday (21 November) at 10:38 a.m., a much stronger earthquake shook the capital and different parts of the country. It was the strongest quake originating inside Bangladesh in the last hundred years, with its epicenter in Madhabdi, Narsingdi. That tremor measured 5.7 on the Richter scale.

The following day, Saturday (22 November) at 6:06 p.m., another earthquake was felt in Dhaka, registering 3.7 on the Richter scale. This information was confirmed by Afroza Sultana, Assistant Meteorologist at the Earthquake Monitoring Centre.

She stated that the quake occurred at 10:36:12 a.m., and its epicenter was located 29 kilometers northeast of the Agargaon Meteorological Office, in Palash, Narsingdi.
